  1. Hi! I just tried my first Salad Girl dressing. I chose the Curry and Fig. It is awesome. My family, however, would prefer something not as sweet. Suggestions? Also, add me to your newsletter. I am always looking for new ideas!

    • Hello Jennifer! Thankyou for your kind words! We have two savory dressings available right now for your family! Lemony Herb and Savory Strawberry. The Savory Strawberry is made with organic strawberry juice and tarragon, and is not sweet! The lemony herb is made with organic Meyer lemons, organic rosemary ,basil and oregano and can be found at most of the Twin Cities Co-ops, Kowalski’s Markets , Whole Foods and the Produce Exchange at the Global Market Place in Mpls. its smart to call the store and ask the produce manager to make sure its available before you go!
I make a wonderful “Seasar Salad” dressing with the Lemony Herb dressing that we serve every year for our New Years Eve splurge- We pick up fresh seafood from Coastal Seafoods: Shrimp, Lobster Scallops etc… I will put the recipe up on the blog after Christmas!
But the dressing is simple- pour 1/2 bottle Salad Girl lemony Herb Organic Salad Dressing, 1/2 cup good mayo (I like Hellmans real with oliveoil)
fresh pressed garlic if you like it, 1/4 cup shredded finely parm-reggiano, 1/8 teaspoon cracked pepper and 1/8 teaspoon organic honey. Mix together well, chill and serve with any Ceasar recipe-or our Seafood Seasar Salad! Enjoy and thankyou, Pam

  2. HI,

I had your Blueberry Basil organice salad dressing on Christmas Day. My neice who lives in Minneapolis brought the salad dressing with her.

    I absolutely loved it!!

Where in the Milwaukee, WI area can I buy products from Salad Girl?

    Let me know,
    Thanks,
    Denise

    • Hi Denise!
I am so glad that you enjoyed the Blueberry Basil, please contact us through the http://www.saladgirldressings.com and fill in your info on the contact us page. You can help us get onto the Whole Foods, or your local co-op’s refrigerated shelf, all you have to do is request Salad Girl Organic Dressings with your produce manager- we can find a way to get there. The produce managers can talk to their buyers, and the buyers call us. Thankyou, I will send you a couple of Blueberry Basil this week to hold you over till its on the shelf!
Thankyou, The Salad Girl aka Pam

  3. Hi Pam,

I love the dressings, which I mentioned at Sue’s BD party. I also love the new plastic bottles! The ability to drip, squirt, or pour is a blessing. Lots of good uses for the empties.

Last week was our first trip to our CSA, and there was lots of fresh lettuce, basil, red table onions, and other goodies. I used the blueberry dressing with the items listed, and it was like having summer on the plate.

Chris, our farmer at Fresh Earth Farms, hadn’t heard of your dressings. I gave him your website, and tomorrow, our pick up day, I am taking him a bottle of blueberry.

My question is, since I always find the dressing in the coolers, is it necessary to keep the dressings refrigerated before they are opened?

    Keep up the great work,
    Karol Morton

  4. Excellent blog! I really love how it’s uncomplicated on my eyes and also the details is well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your rss feed which really should do the trick! Have a nice day!

  5. I found yet ANOTHER delicious way to use the Curry and Fig dressing. I had some leftover roasted butternut squash (which I can eat as it is, plain and wonderful:)) But for breakfast today I put about a teaspoon of Vegenaise on a flour tortilla, drizzled some Salad Girl curry and fig, and then spread in about 1/3 of a cup or so of the roasted squash that was mashed already. I folded it like a quesadilla and it is sooo good (it is currently beside my keyboard waiting for me to enjoy the rest of it:)

  6. Good Morning! I just wanted to tell you that I recently bought the Blueberry Basil Dressing from Valley Natural Foods in Burnsville MN, and this is, without a doubt, the best dressing I have ever tasted!! I get cravings for it and now eat even more salads than before, just so that I can have more dressing! It is really awesome. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to try some of the other dressings as well. Have a wondrful day!

    • Thank you, Kathy! Have you tried it with goat cheese, fresh blueberries and raspberries, and some roasted almonds? Check out the recipes under the Blueberry Basil blog category for more ideas. Happy New Year!

  7. Hi. I love your curry fig dressing and want to ship some, but it says to refrigerate. Does it need to be refrigerated if it hasn’t been opened?

By the way, I’m a neighbor — on Hickory Street, Mahtomedi.

    Thank you –

  8. Hi – I love your salad dressings and was buying them at the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market in Atlanta, GA. This market recently stopped stocking your dressings and I miss them! Are the dressings sold anywhere else in the Atlanta area?

    Thanks!

  9. Hi, I love your salad dressings! I live in Montana and purchased them when I was visiting a friend in Forest Lake. Is there anywhere your dressings are sold that will ship them to me. Thank you, Abbie Skelton

  10. Hi Pam,

I was at Willy St Co-op in Madison WI on Sat. Nov. 12th and sampled your cheese, baby spinach, grape, Pomegrate Pear Salad Dressing and pieces of pecans. You gave me a bag of bamboo tooth picks to hold the sample taste and tonight I am taking a plate full to a party. I said I would be interested in helping you market this dressing. I LOVE IT!! I wish I would have bought your book on Sat. for a present. I went back to Willy St last night to see if they had one for sale which they did not. When checking your web page I could not find the “Salad Girl” book to buy. Please contact me at molly.v.hahn@gmail.com with more information on the book and marketing.

  11. Where an I buy your cook book? Someone at work said Mississippi Market. That was not the case? I have a friend who would love this for Christmas?

    • Hello Monica, I will be signing books this weekend at Mississippi Market on West 7th street from 11-3 on Saturday Dec. 17th. You can also find books at the Selby Mississippi Market, Kowalski’s Markets, Bibelot Shops, Good Things, Lake Country Book Stores, Barnes and Nobel, Lunds and Byerlys, Patina Stores, St. Croix Bookstore, and also online! Happy Salad Days, Enjoy!

  12. Need Curry and Fig By christmas for friend. Central Mo Hi V no longer carrying it. (bummer, their loss only if this pays off) Would like an autographed cook book also. Precedence immediate. I will be watching e mail. Tried to sort thru list of stocking dealers to order online. No joy. Please help. Thank you.

  13. Help! I moved from Minneapolis to Nashville and I guess I can’t get your dressings outside of Minnesota. Any way you can expand to Whole Foods out here?
