Hi! I just tried my first Salad Girl dressing. I chose the Curry and Fig. It is awesome. My family, however, would prefer something not as sweet. Suggestions? Also, add me to your newsletter. I am always looking for new ideas!
Hello Jennifer! Thankyou for your kind words! We have two savory dressings available right now for your family! Lemony Herb and Savory Strawberry. The Savory Strawberry is made with organic strawberry juice and tarragon, and is not sweet! The lemony herb is made with organic Meyer lemons, organic rosemary ,basil and oregano and can be found at most of the Twin Cities Co-ops, Kowalski’s Markets , Whole Foods and the Produce Exchange at the Global Market Place in Mpls. its smart to call the store and ask the produce manager to make sure its available before you go!
I make a wonderful “Seasar Salad” dressing with the Lemony Herb dressing that we serve every year for our New Years Eve splurge- We pick up fresh seafood from Coastal Seafoods: Shrimp, Lobster Scallops etc… I will put the recipe up on the blog after Christmas!
But the dressing is simple- pour 1/2 bottle Salad Girl lemony Herb Organic Salad Dressing, 1/2 cup good mayo (I like Hellmans real with oliveoil)
fresh pressed garlic if you like it, 1/4 cup shredded finely parm-reggiano, 1/8 teaspoon cracked pepper and 1/8 teaspoon organic honey. Mix together well, chill and serve with any Ceasar recipe-or our Seafood Seasar Salad! Enjoy and thankyou, Pam
Hi Denise!
I am so glad that you enjoyed the Blueberry Basil, please contact us through the http://www.saladgirldressings.com and fill in your info on the contact us page. You can help us get onto the Whole Foods, or your local co-op’s refrigerated shelf, all you have to do is request Salad Girl Organic Dressings with your produce manager- we can find a way to get there. The produce managers can talk to their buyers, and the buyers call us. Thankyou, I will send you a couple of Blueberry Basil this week to hold you over till its on the shelf!
Thankyou, The Salad Girl aka Pam
I love the dressings, which I mentioned at Sue’s BD party. I also love the new plastic bottles! The ability to drip, squirt, or pour is a blessing. Lots of good uses for the empties.
Last week was our first trip to our CSA, and there was lots of fresh lettuce, basil, red table onions, and other goodies. I used the blueberry dressing with the items listed, and it was like having summer on the plate.
Chris, our farmer at Fresh Earth Farms, hadn’t heard of your dressings. I gave him your website, and tomorrow, our pick up day, I am taking him a bottle of blueberry.
My question is, since I always find the dressing in the coolers, is it necessary to keep the dressings refrigerated before they are opened?
Excellent blog! I really love how it’s uncomplicated on my eyes and also the details is well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your rss feed which really should do the trick! Have a nice day!
I found yet ANOTHER delicious way to use the Curry and Fig dressing. I had some leftover roasted butternut squash (which I can eat as it is, plain and wonderful:)) But for breakfast today I put about a teaspoon of Vegenaise on a flour tortilla, drizzled some Salad Girl curry and fig, and then spread in about 1/3 of a cup or so of the roasted squash that was mashed already. I folded it like a quesadilla and it is sooo good (it is currently beside my keyboard waiting for me to enjoy the rest of it:)
Good Morning! I just wanted to tell you that I recently bought the Blueberry Basil Dressing from Valley Natural Foods in Burnsville MN, and this is, without a doubt, the best dressing I have ever tasted!! I get cravings for it and now eat even more salads than before, just so that I can have more dressing! It is really awesome. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to try some of the other dressings as well. Have a wondrful day!
Thank you, Kathy! Have you tried it with goat cheese, fresh blueberries and raspberries, and some roasted almonds? Check out the recipes under the Blueberry Basil blog category for more ideas. Happy New Year!
Hi – I love your salad dressings and was buying them at the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market in Atlanta, GA. This market recently stopped stocking your dressings and I miss them! Are the dressings sold anywhere else in the Atlanta area?
Hello! Thank you for loving our dressings! Ask for us with your produce manager at your local Whole Foods Store, or Natural Foods Market (Sunflower? Sprouts?) enjoy your summer!
Hi, I love your salad dressings! I live in Montana and purchased them when I was visiting a friend in Forest Lake. Is there anywhere your dressings are sold that will ship them to me. Thank you, Abbie Skelton
I was at Willy St Co-op in Madison WI on Sat. Nov. 12th and sampled your cheese, baby spinach, grape, Pomegrate Pear Salad Dressing and pieces of pecans. You gave me a bag of bamboo tooth picks to hold the sample taste and tonight I am taking a plate full to a party. I said I would be interested in helping you market this dressing. I LOVE IT!! I wish I would have bought your book on Sat. for a present. I went back to Willy St last night to see if they had one for sale which they did not. When checking your web page I could not find the “Salad Girl” book to buy. Please contact me at molly.v.hahn@gmail.com with more information on the book and marketing.
Thank you Molly! I am so happy you are enjoying the dressings and the little skewers! You can purchase the book online @ thank you again-tell all your friends in Madison! The Willy’s in Madison was my favorite store on my little road trip! Thank you!

Hello Monica, I will be signing books this weekend at Mississippi Market on West 7th street from 11-3 on Saturday Dec. 17th. You can also find books at the Selby Mississippi Market, Kowalski’s Markets, Bibelot Shops, Good Things, Lake Country Book Stores, Barnes and Nobel, Lunds and Byerlys, Patina Stores, St. Croix Bookstore, and also online! Happy Salad Days, Enjoy!
Need Curry and Fig By christmas for friend. Central Mo Hi V no longer carrying it. (bummer, their loss only if this pays off) Would like an autographed cook book also. Precedence immediate. I will be watching e mail. Tried to sort thru list of stocking dealers to order online. No joy. Please help. Thank you.
Help! I moved from Minneapolis to Nashville and I guess I can’t get your dressings outside of Minnesota. Any way you can expand to Whole Foods out here?
Hello, I am from Lubbock, TX. We have a Sprouts and United (Market Street) grocery store that carry organic foods. However, after purchasing your dressing in Austin we all loved it and of course
need more. How can I get some?
Thanks,
Leigh
Hello! Where can I find ingredients lists? I’m wanting to order through my veggie coop (through J&J Distributing), but I wanted to check the ingredients to get an idea on flavor, before deciding on which ones to order. Thanks!
Hello! I will try to post labels this week! We switched to a blog web page and are still getting stuff set up! Thanks for your patience, Pam! Where are you located?
Hi! Thanks – I’m looking forward to it. Our order is due on Wednesday, but I’ll just wait until next order if I have to – just though it’d be fun to have the dressings at Thanksgiving Dinner with the whole family! Any suggestions, in the meantime, for a Thanksgiving greens salad? Oh, and I’m in Princeton, MN.
I love the Crispy Apple Maple, which I use to be able to get a Caputo’s and Whole Foods. (Chicago suburbs) However, neither store carries it any more. Where/how can I buy Salad Girl in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago? My veggies and greens are not the same!
Thanks!
Hello Susan,
Thank you so much for being a fan!!! What Whole Foods do you shop at? I will find out why it is not on the shelf at Whole Foods for you and get it back on. We are on most of the WF. Suburban shelves, sometimes they just forget to order? So sorry about that! Thanks again, Pam
I was in Edina at the Williams Sanoma for my Birthday weekend and you gave me a signed book for free for my birthday. You made a fun weekend even better. Thank you so much. I’m so ready to make all those yummy salads that you have in your book.
Hello Salad Girl…your dressings are the bomb-diggity-bomb!! However, I initially stumbled upon your delicious dressings at Whole Foods Indianapolis, but they have sold out and have NOT RE-Stocked. So sad. So, I’m trying to hunt down where else may carry your items…yes they are that awesome! I mean, who hunts for salad dressing?? If you can just send me a crate of the curry and fig, I’ll take it! Much Love, Pink Bailey-keller
Thank you for your wonderful comments about Salad Girl! I will call the Indianapolis store. When I talked with them in March, they had 4 flavors on the shelf, so I’ll find out what’s going on. Don’t worry. We’ll get you more Curry & Fig. I’ll touch base again after I get the scoop. Thanks! Pam
Late last fall, I was introduced to your fantastic dressinsg while in Lake City, MN where a friend was transitioning from surgery a month earlier in Rochester.
Being new to the area, I explored the cute little town and happened into the Natural Foods & Deli where I ordered a half sandwich that came with a small fresh and delicious side salad. I had a choice of the white balsamic vinaigrette or (I heard) Curried Fig. Known as the “most adventurous eater” in my neighborhood, of course I tried the Curry & Fig. Wow! Couldn’t wait to go back and have it again and again. Sadly, by the end of the year Susan closed that location and moved 15 min nw to Red Wing. A month or so later, when I visited (came in from MSP instead of Rochester) I drove right by the co-op where she worked, turned around and had her create another salad. But she had NO Curry & Fig but offered me the Savory Strawberry. I was a little hesitant because I don’t care for those fruity/too sweet dressings but it was absolutely AWESOME.
I just now thought to check online to see if there are any locations anywhere near Arkansas and I forgot about visiting our local Whole Foods store to request (DEMAND?) them to stock it. The recipes make my mouth water. I may have to order my own private stock if I can’t convince them to stock this amazing condiment NO salad should be served without!
I tried to post a photo here but was unsuccessful. Will do so on my FB page.
Hi Maria! So glad you’re looking for more Salad Girl. We are in most Midwest Whole Foods Markets and would love to expand to other regions of the U.S. If your Whole Foods isn’t ready to put it on the shelf, they should be able to special order a case (six bottles) of any variety you’re interested in. The dressings need to be refrigerated but have a very long shelf life (usually at least 6 months). They make great gifts too for a new neighbor, a birthday, or hostess gift for a summer gathering. What city in Arkansas ? Let me know if you need further help, and thanks again! Pam
